Emma is a campaign operations specialist with a broad skillset including advocacy, environmental communications, campaign strategy, community building, project management and storytelling. She spent six years at Patagonia working in different roles, first joining the corporate development team, then expanding the brand’s circularity program across Europe and finally leading environmental campaigns in the region.
Originally from Brittany, France, on the Atlantic coast, Emma’s love for Nature and particularly the Ocean is what drives her. Her most recent work with Patagonia focused on advocating for a ban on bottom trawling in Marine Protected Areas and supporting the transition to low-impact, fair fisheries. She coordinated a coalition of NGOs during a two-year effort that resulted in a petition with 250,000 signatures being delivered in person to the EU Commissioner for Oceans & Fisheries. She is passionate about using the power of community engagement to create systemic political, social and environmental change.
Emma holds a MSc in Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris, France, with a specialisation in impact investing and social and environmental entrepreneurship. She has lived and worked in the Netherlands, Canada and the US and thrives in multicultural workplaces. She volunteers with French NGO Women for Sea for which she recently contributed to an advocacy campaign calling for equal representation of women in ocean governance.
At Ocean Vision Legal, Emma supports both the strategic development and day-to-day operations of the firm, running a tight ship to allow her teammates to focus on their core expertise: practicing the law.
Outside of work, Emma spends as much time as possible outdoors. She is an avid sailor, trail runner and gravel cyclist - always up for new challenges, whether it’s running ultramarathons, climbing mountains or cycling across islands. She also reads and writes a lot.
